(Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach zt"l once said: "People think reality is 1 + 1 = 2. Reality is Shabbos lights.")
I see around me people
People wanting changes
Changes that will be real.
Reality takes over the dreams
Dreams that were vast and beyond
Beyond all limitation and actualization.
"Actually, this could be a blessing
Blessing all those who strive;
Strife itself could disappear,
Disappearing with ego and pride."
Proud people think all this and more -
More concrete and more defined.
Definitions help us from "what" to "how"
However, sometimes in them is fear,
Fear that our moonlit dreams
Dreams that were vast and beyond, are
Beyond our capabilities;
Capable we are - more than we think.
Thought I have but more -
More comes through yearning.
Yearning I have for a more beautiful
Beauty of the world, of life -
Living a more true wholesome
Holistic vision of God
Godly people should my friends become
Becoming it is for they who seek.
Seeking for truth and love,
Loving all that leads towards peace.
Peaceful towards all but with strength -
Strength to fight for belief,
Believing in all true dreams
Dreams that are vast and beyond
Beyond all is that which is real.
